Get your leather ON
workshirt: madewell (similar cut, similar color)
sweats: ross (similar) (similar)
jersey motorcycle jacket: mom's (similar) (similar)
faux suede loafers: forever 21
I promise you, with these clothes on I felt like Karen O singing "Zero" in a dewy fall evening. I kind of put these clothes together on a whim, they feel so pajama-y. These comfy but COOL sweats (that I got for $9 bucks at Ross THATS how you try a trend haha) this boy shirt from madewell, and even though this jacket looks leather it's actually jersey! Super comfy, extra cool! I went dress like this to Dave's little sister college football game down in southern illinois. (she's in the band) I'll admit I totally felt like I should've been making out behind the bleechers than cheering on the home team. Unfortunately the kids lost, but everyone loved my hair I didn't even notice the game! (Bonus purple was the school color so all the parents thought I was alumni haha!) Dave's lil sis friends thought I was a total badass which is such a laugh! Little do they know I was the dweeb in school! Oh how times have changed. But I'm really not that cool at all, I still spend my weekends eating cereal, watching cartoons, and playing video games. But now no one can tell me "no" or "go study' CUZ I'S AN ADULT! Oh how wonderful it is, isn't it? (insert paramore haha!)
Did you enter my giveaway? You have till September 23rd! Let's go!

Maybe its the cool weather, maybe its those new waves music videos, maybe its the fact that I've been marathoning Paul Dano films, or that Paul Thomas Anderson premiered "The Master" at the Music Box last Thursday.
Whatever it is, all I know is that I am undoubtedly obsessed with oxblood. Call it what you like, burgundy, mauve, rose, dark red, raisin...all I know is that in the words of George Costanza "I would drape myself in it if it were socially acceptable" It looks ravishing against my skin tone and puts me at complete peace. I love it, i want to wear it everyday.
The weather has been forgiving to me enough to let me wear pants and long sleeves. I know i am constantly hearing gripes from people complaining about how cold it has become (same people who complained about the unforgiving heat wave a few weeks back) but i am in love. I'm less stressed, I'm more active, and I'm pleasantly dressed what more could a girl want. 100+ degree weather, no thanks....sweater weather...yes please and thank you!
Now excuse me while I go drink someone's milkshake
the dream academy
If you took the time to watch the video in my last post, you would see a world of inspiration. Featuring cold, wet, and dreary British nights. The perfect canvas to pull inspiration for fall. I decided to lay out all my inspirations for fall 2012. I'm loving the giant coats, cameos, bold stripes and of course ox blood red. These hues are so yummy, I'm literally counting down the days until its fall!

women i find kawaii
I don't know why i have been blogging so much, maybe because i am not looking forward to spending a holiday weekend w/o family ;_;
anyways!
I thought a share a quick post about people that I find ultra inspiring when it comes to my wardrobe.
Bernadette Peters:
her hair! HER HAIR, hair evny much? Gosh I never want to cut another curl until it looks like this. I always crushed on Bernie, from the jerk, to that terrible cinderella remake with brandy, to watching her in slaves of new york (one of my favorite movies that inspired me to come here!) And she's JUST SO FRIGGIN KAWAII, I MEAN LOOK AT HER...
Elaine Benes:
I know I mentioned her before but I won't go on too long. I was fascinated by her as a kid, and I think she is one of the reasons I behave the way I do today. She is an icon! And her floral dresses + oversized suit jacket combo is my favorite. I'm filling my closet this fall with florals and plaids. And I'm not caring what anybody thinks!
Angela Chase & Rayanne Graff from My so called life:
I just finished the last episode (sob..sob) which I might just watch again because the clothes on her ARE TO DIE, especially that pendleton jacket angela wears (TO DIE) I love how the cats wears the same clothes, its so realistic! Versus shows were the cast have an endless supply of clothing. I see myself in both characters not just one.
who do you find kawaii? Is it too soon to think fall? Its my favorite season, my birthday season! I'M JUST LOVIN PLAID AND FLORALS, I think I need some new oxfords and some creepers would be nice too!
(by the by new post on the webcomic, I swear i'll stop bombarding you soo ;D)
