Give me the classics

 photo boy6_zpsc2571772.jpg photo boy2_zpsb43e04e4.jpg photo boy5_zps97f61289.jpggrey sweater: forever 21
jeans: forever 21 + (i get them short so they are cropped im 5'8")
kickass shoes: FOREVER 21 (similar)
ok so I went a little wild but it all matched!

As I mentioned before there really isn't anything better than a grey sweater. And even though I try to not buy anymore, whenever I see grey my heart just flutters! Paired with a skinny jean and a kickass flat it's impossible not to feel classically cool. Plus these shoes look SO HIGH END to have only been $30 bucks. Shoes, 30, sweater 17, jeans 9, I mean a whole look for under $60 THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Plus even though this outfit feels designer I'm not afraid to hit the park, run around, bike to my favorite shops, and even wipe the pizza grease on my knees. Don't you just love looks that feel put together while being so so simple. Plus as you may have notice I COLORED MY HAIR HAHA. If you follow me on instagram (you should) you'd see that it was my birthday TADA to myself. Spending the next years becoming the woman I want to be than being afraid to be her! I mean we only got one life to live, might as well not live it in fear! Even if I garner a few stares at this point it's nothing new. HA!

When I'm working on designs for either school or freelance, I like to watch old movies to keep my creative sparks going! To me films from the 90s-back have a way of telling such a heartfelt story it makes you feel as if you can do ANYTHING and on top of that all the creative work that goes onto these films is so inspiring. Before I know it I have breezed through four movies and yet there's still much to do left. But at least there's still some flicks to watch to keep me motivated through the night.

Last Sunday i watched The Heartbreak kid, new but TBS always have soft comedies, but I only gave it so much of my attention before switching off to two of my childhood faves..Jumanji (baby dunst!!) and Benny &Joon. Something must have struck a cord with me because before I knew it I was dressing up like Johnny Depp and acting like Buster Keaton.

I love the mix of this look...its like 60s, 70s and a taste of masculine 20s. I feel like I stepped of the set of Annie Hall. It feels good to dress for myself again rather than a slew of doctors appointments :/. And Woody Allen films are such great inspiration for me, in fact I think Ill get inspired more tonight and watch a few, dreaming of New York. After watching The Artist I've been dying to see the purple rose of cairo again. So with that I bid you...adieu.

I was just thinking to myself that I should have called my blog "queen of dots" but then I realized I would have to wear dots ALL THE TIME. Which I mean, wouldn't be TERRIBLE because I dooo looooove polka dots. Honestly I don't feel like I wear them enough, but I feel like they are soooooo me! Like honestly, they SCREAM BIANCA!! More than any other pattern. I think part of it is associated with this favorite picture of mine from my childhood. I was wearing dots even as a tot, so they have just grown with me. SO bubbly and free, unexpected and happy, like me :)

It snowed a bit again, thank the Lord, I was worried. My mom questioned my happiness and my response was "cheap peaches!" sure it was random, but I understood what I meant, which can be better explained in my previous post.

Regardless of the snow, its still not FREEZING for chicago, so I slapped on my favorite pair of glasses and decided to surprise Dave by dressing a little girly! AND LOOK MAW, IM WEARING HEELS, remember this moment people, it may not happen again for a loooong time.

glasses: simply fabulous in brown

After much ado, I decided to invest in a new pair of glasses from bonlook. After seeing these bad boys in Erin from Calivintage (back to back shoutouts) I couldn't wait to show them off. They are cuter and sweeter than my last pair, so that's why I decided to simply go the whole nine yards and dress absolutely cute to the "t". And whats not cuter than a kitty in a bow tie...

NOTHING.

You all know I love ironic sweaters, but I don't merely just were sweaters for wearing sweaters, I have to hone in the best of the best. I have saved my finds since the 7th grade and still love reworking them today. Though it has been unseasonably warm, it has not stop being a wintery gloom. The gloomier it is the brighter I dress, why let the weather put a damper on your style?

*I am just full of idioms today

This was the other look I absolute adored from the Logan shoot. (which I know some of you mentioned you enjoyed as well from the look book) It made me feel rather rambunctious! But it also reminded me of another adored Wes Anderson character Max Fischer. I remember watching rushmore with my best friend (now boyfriend) 7 years ago in my mom living room. Awkwardly touching hands, and being amazed by this ingenue Wes Anderson.

I really feel like the tennis courts really set this outfit off. We actually sneaked into this private location! I'm surprised we didn't get caught, but I suppose if you look important, people leave you alone. And also, BARE LEGS! Jeez I haven't been bared legged in 4 months....and probably not again for another 3. Oh well that's the midwest for ya....

back in the day when I still had long hair, I channeled my inner 80s baby and wore all black to the beach. Sure you can't tell its beach but its a park on the outskirts of lake michigan (lincoln park to be exact) I let my hair fall wherever it pleased, mixed velvet with knits and danced in the wide open space like winona ryder in the crucible. These were good times.

the weather has been a little forgiving recently, mayhaps its time to make one last trip to the lakeshore before snowpocalypse

not all that glitters...

I ♥ you topshop...BUT YALLS HIGH. (Same necklace @ topshop, $48 ;_;)

As for remembering why I dont shop at f21, I also got this super cute "gold" unicorn statement ring, but it broke the next day. c'est la vie~

you win some you lose some. and any blogger knows when it comes to photography, well, sometimes you can't always win. I dress up almost everyday for you guys, but there's some things I learned about blogging. Lighting, lighting, and lighting. With bad lighting, looks come out blurry or sometimes they just don't translate. In this case, the light was SO BRIGHT that most of my snaps of this look came out a completely distorted. Any photographer knows high noon light IS THE MOST UNFORGIVABLE creating harsh shadows, and etc. So sadly I can't show you all the pics of this I would love to, but I'll just let you know, I loved this look! I was vibing Anne Catherine pretty hard that day, being all neutral and nude. I also got to wear my mother's vintage neck piece. I super love it. Favorite part of the whole look!

Oh & thanks everyone for the birthday blog wishes! I have so much to share! I'm so excited!

addiction: pink

polka dot sweater: vintage
pants: vintage Pendleton
shoes: F21
shirt: LUSH
watch: geneva

clearly I have an addiction to this color, I feel like I wear it too often, but I LOVES IT- OMG. It's so bright and loud, and you can't help BUT stand out. I am also addicted to color blocking..aka can't stop won't stop. I love looking like a crayola! ♥♥♥

Plus I did a little experiment with this particular combo. This is the "day" version of it, because I had a party to attend after work, and I didn't want to go to work full throttle. I also wanted to consider comfort, by day I am a graphic designer, so I'm sitting most of the time, which is why I love high waisted pants, no coin slots,...can my badonk-a-donk sisters give me a what what~!...=_="

Needless to say, pink and blue are my new favoirte color combos btw, or at least hot fuchsia and minty blue. Oh and plus who doesn't love a fancy new watch, again another addiction of mine.

ya know what else is addicting, this song "addiction" by medina...I HEARD IT EVERY WHERE in new york, every store I walked into felt like a euro club, and normally I'm like SUPER HIPSTER ONLY LISTEN TO INDIE MUSIC, but I have a secret crush on dance music, perhaps it strands from my anime days, who knows....

whose happy this is a short week!?

hey guys
